The Gwinnett Gladiators Booster Club is a volunteer organization devoted to:

• Providing for the needs of the players
• Promoting public interest and support of Gwinnett Gladiators hockey
• Playing an active role in building relationships with other teams
• Providing leadership in the Gwinnett Gladiators hockey fan community
• Supporting and encouraging the development of the players

The Gladiators Booster Club is, first and foremost, a support system for the players of the ECHL Gwinnett Gladiators hockey team. The primary responsibility of the club is to ensure that the players have what they need on and off the ice during the season. While we are all certainly fans of the Gladiators, we are not by definition a fan club.

An official ECHL booster club is established to support the minor league players of the franchise and operates under the umbrella of the ECHL member club. ECHL booster clubs requires the support of the team, in our case, the Gwinnett Gladiators.

Each ECHL team has to operate under a weekly salary cap. The minimum weekly payment for both rookie and returning players is between three and four hundred dollars. While some players make more, to keep it simple, the average works out to about five hundred dollars per week. This is where the need for an active booster club comes in: to help with basic necessities. The Gladiators Booster Club helps by supplying linens, towels and other basic apartment needs like toasters, vacuum cleaners, TV's and the like. We also like to help out on their road trips by supplying their favorite snacks.

While insuring that the players are comfortable is a major part of what we do, we don’t stop there! The players are away from home and family for several months, so we do what we can to offer them a touch of home here in Gwinnett. That would be good ole Southern Hospitality! We offer home-cooked meals several times a year, we throw a holiday party, and provide any friendly support that they may need.

The Gladiators Booster Club is also very active in the local community, donating to the Gladiators Foundation and other charities that are important to the team and to our members. To accomplish all of this, we donate our time and efforts in fundraising campaigns throughout the calendar year to guarantee that we are in a position to do our duties successfully to support our team.
